Wheel Throwing, Beginner/Intermediate (Prior clay experience required)   

Students will learn about wheel throwing and techniques by practicing throwing a variety of shapes and sizes. Students will learn to trim their pottery, and glazing with some surface decorating will be explored. This class is for beginners and students with some throwing experience. 

Class includes up to 25 lbs. of clay. Additional clay is available for purchase. There is an upcharge for porcelain clay. All clay and glazes mut be provided by ACE (no outside clay or glazes allowed).

ACE is a teaching pottery studio, not a production studio. The firing schedule and quantities are controlled by the Lab Technician.

Supply list: (Supplies available at craft stores: Michaels, Art & Frame  & Amazon) 

Basic pottery Kit: fettling knife, pin tool, sponge, wooden angled knife, metal rib, two various sizes ribbon trim tools. Apron, towel, plastic bags. 

Note: We are not a production studio and the use of outside materials is subject to instructor approval. 


Register early to avoid disappointment, as classes will fill up quickly!
