According to the standards of the 1960s, many American women had the perfect life– they had a spouse, children, a suburban home, a stationwagon, and all the modern appliances a woman could desire. And yet, they felt unfulfilled in their “perfect” lives. The Book Club for Troublesome Women gives great insight into the lives of these women and how they dealt with the reality the 1960s offered.

Required reading: The Book Club for Troublesome Women by Marie Bostwick. Available on Amazon, the Target website and the Sarasota and Manatee libraries.
