Following placement testing, students will be placed in the appropriate level of this course (4 or 5).

This course provides students with practice in sentence completion and error correction items, both of which represent common structures found in conversation, professional and academic English settings. Students will learn to recognize and appropriately employ the various levels of English usage from the eight parts of speech to simple, compound and complex sentences with a focus on production through speaking and writing. Consequently, mastering the subject material in this course allows students to use English more fluently when communicating with other English speakers, when using English at a job, in everyday life and when using English in a university environment.
