Do you love to take pictures, but want to learn how to make them like a pro? This class is for you! This class presents the fundamentals of digital photography, including camera equipment and software used for creative photography. Topics include camera settings and exposure control, composition, working with light and time, and creative image manipulation using apertures, shutter speeds and post processing. This class runs concurrent with a four-credit academic class. Recommended: a digital camera with manual exposure capabilities. ACC does not provide Adobe access for community members.

This engaging class explores basic techniques, materials, and concepts used in opaque painting processes in oil or acrylic painting to depict form and space on a two-dimensional surface. You’ll learn the basics beginning with color mixing and use of tools to creating compositions that range from abstract to representational.
