- Comedy Sketch Writing-101

Ever watched SNL and laughed until you cried? Do you think you can write something as funny? Writing sketch comedy is no easy feat, but this course will give you all the tools to go from brainstorming and joke writing, to building a funny premise and creating a hilarious scene. Impress your friends with stories you’ll want to film and post on YouTube. No experience necessary—just bring your imagination and sense of humor! The class concludes with a live readthrough of your bold ideas and best sketches for friends and family!

- The Creative and Compelling Actor
-
In this level II acting class, you will learn how to take a performance from “ho-hum” to “wow”! Building on core acting fundamentals, this course explores creative, practical ways to make performances more compelling. Through engaging class activities, students will develop dynamic tools for their actor’s toolbox, including Viewpoints, vocal and text analysis strategies, and light monologue and scene work.

- Acting the Song

In this class, students will develop character, stage presence, and vocal expression through some of their favorite musical theatre songs! They will learn small-group numbers that include solo singing opportunities, as well as a full ensemble piece. Throughout the course, students will explore what it means to work together as an ensemble while also building confidence in their individual voices.

- Adult Improv II

Improv II is for those who are versed in mechanics of improv: in making strong choices, never denying, staying focused, not playing just for laughs, and making offers that make your scene partner look good. If you've taken classes, or if you've done improv a few times (your living room at a party doesn't count) this is the class for you. It's just as fun as Improv I with more challanges.

Step into the world of Broadway in this lively adult movement class! Learn choreography inspired by iconic musical theatre numbers like Chicago’s “All That Jazz,” A Chorus Line’s “One Singular Sensation,” and “Seize the Day” from Newsies. Build confidence, coordination, and stage presence. No previous dance experience required, just a willingness to move and have fun.
