Discover the magic of needle felting and create your own adorable large fluffy friend!
Needle felting is a craft that transforms wool fiber into solid shapes using special needles with tiny barbs. As the needle touches the wool, it grabs onto the fiber and compresses it together turning it into a solid shape. In this fun class, you will learn how to use these tools safely and effectively to sculpt a cute and curly haired sheep that is about 5" long. This project is perfect for beginners and confident beginner who want to explore their creativity with wool. All the materials and tools you need are included, with take-home tools to continue needle-felting on your own!
Appropriate for ages 8-12. Students do not need to have prior experience with felting.
For youth classes, please plan to arrive 5-10 mins before each class to sign your student(s) in. Students will also need to be signed out before leaving.
Note: Masks are required for the duration of the class.
Class takes place at Arbutus Folk School, 610 4th Ave E, Olympia.
