
This lightweight and foldable chair is an excellent addition to an outdoor space. It can be customized in several ways to suit any personal style.
Students will learn the basics of woodworking in this introductory class while building a Kentucky stick chair. Course will cover choosing material, measuring & layout, accurate cutting, drilling holes, surface prep and assembly. Safety, use of power & hand tools, setting up a shop, and finishing will also be covered.
Ages 14 and older welcome! Appropriate for all skill levels.
If available, students may wish to bring an electric drill and any smoothing or shaping tools. All materials and a shareable class set of tools will be provided.
Class/es takes place at Arbutus Folk School, 610 4th Ave E, Olympia. Enter from the alley way behind Arbutus building.
