ult master basketweaver and storyteller Harvest Moon will share about the life, art, and culture of Coastal Salish Natives through song, story, and a weaving activity. She will speak of the abundance of life among the Northwest Coast Tribes, whose rich culture has been handed down from generation to generation. Students will create two cedar bark elk each, which will make a cute gift or decoration.
This folk & traditional arts workshop is supported with funding from Northwest Heritage Resources, a Washington state cultural non-profit organization. Class fee waived for members of regional tribes. Please contact info@arbutusfolkschool.org to register and have your fee waived.

Class takes place at Arbutus Folk School, 610 4th Ave E, Olympia.
All materials, tools, and equipment will be provided.
Open to students ages 10 and older. Full scholarships available for youth with financial need - apply at https://arbutusfolkschool.org/youth-scholarship-program/.
For Covid safety we cannot allow drop-ins at this time - please register to attend. Masks are required for the duration of all classes. Students must complete a health check form before participating, available digitally through our website and on paper upon entry to the building.
