Our community Ceramics Open Studio sessions provide space for students to work on self-directed projects in handbuilding and wheel throwing.
We encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity to supplement other courses or to work on self-guided projects. While instruction is not included in these sessions, our knowledgeable studio lead is there to answer questions and offer support. If you wish to complete a project, it is recommended you register for 2 or 3 consecutive classes.
Registration fee includes clay and glaze as needed during the session, with bags for sale to supplement or take home if desired. Firings are not included but are available for an added fee. Cost of firings varies according to dimensions of your work.
Appropriate for students who have the skills to work independently.
Class takes place at Arbutus Folk School, 610 4th Ave E, Olympia.
All tools and equipment will be provided. Students may wish to bring an apron or wear clothing they don't mind getting dirty.
