Each student will be able to choose what kind of animal finger puppet they would like to make. Goat? Frog? Chicken? Cat? The possibilities are nearly endless!
Needle felting is the process of using specialized barbed needles to sculpt wool fiber. As the needle touches the wool, it grabs onto the fiber and compresses it together, turning it into a solid shape.
Students do not need to have prior experience with felting as this is an entry level project. Come learn how to safely use the needle felting tools! All supplies (e.g. felting pad and 2 needles per student, fiber, animal eyes, glue, and buttons) will be provided for each participant, along with take-home tools to continue needle-felting.
Appropriate for all skill levels.
Class takes place at Arbutus Folk School, 610 4th Ave E, Olympia.
