Not just for tools, this clever project could be used for just about anything including art supplies or crafting. Students will learn simple joinery, layout and project planning skills. Students should be familiar with measuring, shop safety & and have a small amount of woodworking experience.
Skill level: A small amount of experience is necessary. Approproriate for confident beginners and beyond.
Open to students ages 14 and older.
Class takes place at Arbutus Folk School, 610 4th Ave E, Olympia. Parking downtown is free on weekends. Please enter through the door in the alley behind the building. It is clearly labeled.
All materials, tools, and equipment will be provided (including safety glasses and hearing protection) but if they wish students may bring their own tools to use, like measuring/marking tools, 3/4” chisel, smoothing plane. Bring a notebook if you would like to take notes.
Students should dress comfortably in layers. Those with long hair should bring something to secure their hair (hair band, hat, or headband).
