Needle felting is the process of using specialized barbed needles to sculpt wool fiber. As the needle touches the wool, it grabs onto the fiber and compresses it together, turning it into a solid shape.
In this 2-session course, students will be guided to create a 3-D fantasy scene of a mushroom house growing on a log. The mushrooms can be realistic or straight out of fantasy, with a lot of options for customizing each house and the garden around it.
This project is perfect for students who have tried needle felting or have taken a needle felting class before. Come and develop your felting skills! All felting supplies will be provided to students, with take-home tools to continue needle felting on your own.
Course takes place at Arbutus Folk School, 610 4th Ave E, Olympia.
All necessary materials will be provided.
Please note that there are both adult (13+) as well as youth (ages 8-12 years) classes listed, and to register for the appropriate age group.
For youth classes, parents please plan to arrive 5-10 mins before each class to sign your student(s) in. Students also need to be signed out before leaving.
