This is a class for students who have completed the Beginner Knitter course, and for anyone who is able to knit and purl comfortably without assistance. Confident beginners are welcome!
In four classes, students will knit an entire hat! You will learn how to knit in the round using circular needles, how to make "jogless" stripes, how to transfer your knitting from circular needles onto double-pointed needles, and how to finish your hat so that the ends are secure and invisible. The hat will be completed by the end of the course - perfect timing for the upcoming winter holiday season!
Note: Circular and double pointed needles will be provided for students to keep. Students will need to bring a darning needle and their purchased yarn to the first class. Be sure to read the instructor's Yarn Guide before going shopping. If you purchase your yarn at The Black Sheep Yarn Boutique or Our Local Yarn Shop, make sure to mention that the yarn is for an Arbutus class and receive a 10% discount.
