In this single-session class, students will create their own batik scroll using traditional Guizhou-region batik techniques. Each student will create their own design and use wax knives, beeswax, cloth, and indigo dye to create their scroll.
All skill levels are welcome and all necessary materials will be provided. Please wear old clothing that can get dirty as students will be using wax and dyes. An old towel would be useful as well.
This class is for ages 8-14. Ages 15+ are encouraged to join the teen and adult class.
