This class will help intermediate knitters through the technique and process of knitting two socks at a time, from the toe up. Students will learn how to calculate pattern sizes, and will be provided with a customizable sock pattern that can be adjusted to fit perfectly. A variety of techniques will be covered that students may utilize as they work: Toe up, Judy's magic cast on, knitting in the round using magic loop, knitting two socks at a time for exact matching for length, Fleegle heel, Knit/purl rib and a stretchy bind off. This class is designed for those with a basic ability to knit, who are interested in the joy of knitting socks!
Student Requirements: Know how to knit and purl. Bring yarn - usually 1 pair of socks takes 100 grams for sock weight/fingering more for DK or worsted and bring 32' circular needles appropriate for the yarn weight. Students will need to knit a gauge swatch prior to class using their selected yarn and needles in order to calculate cast on stitches and overall stitch count.
