Ages 14 and up
This six session course is appropriate for students at all levels of experience who possess an interest in wheel thrown pottery. It is a great opportunity for beginners to learn the process by which a soft lump of clay is transformed into a finished ceramic piece. Advanced students will have the chance to expand their understanding of wheel thrown pottery, attempt new techniques, and develop their personal style. In addition to throwing topics, surface treatment methods like slip decoration and glazing techniques will be explored. A variety of pottery traditions will be addressed and discussed throughout the scope of the class.
Appropriate for all skill levels.
Please bring a towel and apron that can get dirty. Wear warm clothes because the door will be kept open.
