Basic Conversational French

The primary objective of the course is to develop the student’s oral proficiency. Class time will be spent in simple conversation and study of material. Emphasis is on idiomatic expressions used in daily speech, pronunciation, and vocabulary building. The focus is on correct pronunciation and correct basic syntax when you speak. Activities: Conversation in group and pair work that are based on short questionnaires, texts, videos, web sites. Homework: Some memorization is involved for vocabulary expansion as well as some preparation (dialogue, small paragraph on the theme). Handouts, chat booster exercises and pictures stories will be given to read at home and prepare for next class.
