TELOS - American History 5: 1860-1898
This was a rollicking era of extremes. From the great destruction of the Civil War (where we will focus on Gettysburg) to the expansion of the west with Indian Wars and cattle drives to the innovative building of the nation by the Robber Barons and the immigrants pouring into Ellis Island. It was an era of the longest railroad, biggest bridge, tallest buildings, and inventions like the telephone, light bulb, mail order catalog, and Yale football.
