TELOS - Focus on Composition in Photography

Cameras may take photographs, but the photography MAKES the photograph. Explore what makes a photograph not just technically sound, but compelling and evocative. It is all about the design of the image, what is included and what is not, about relationships created and avoided. Learn the principles of composition and when to follow them and when not to with weekly assignments, one field trip and one assignment to research and present on a known photographer. For all skill levels using any digital camera, point and shoot to smart phone. Bring 3 photographs (as small prints or on a flash drive) to share as part of your introduction.
