TELOS - Focus on Composition in Photography  

Cameras may take photographs, but the photography MAKES the photograph. Explore what makes a photograph not just technically sound, but compelling and evocative. It is all about the design of the image, what is included and what is not, about relationships created and avoided. Learn the principles of strong com-position and when to follow them and when not to with presentations plus weekly assignments. Assignments will include photographing agreed-upon themes at home and in our communities, harvesting your photographs and conducting re-search online of photographs by others to share. Assignments will be posted on Flickr.com and shared in live sessions on Zoom. An extensive handout will be shared online. Select 2 photographs to share as part of your introduction in the first Zoom meeting. For all skill levels using any digital camera, phone to mirrorless
