The Henriad begins; the first in a TELOS series to examine Shakespeare's epic tetraology this course is an exploration into Shakespeare's take on his own nation's history. Policitical Thriller. Relationship Drama. Historical Fiction. Through a close reading of the play, investigation of historical contexts, discussion of characters, structure, plot, and theatrical conceits, with particular attention attention paid to the Shakespeare's extraorindiary language; participants in this course will have the opportunity to dive into the text and contexts of William Shakespeare's RICHARD II.
