TELOS - U.S. Borderlands: Immigration, Culture and Identity   NEW!

Based on the presumption that the United States is a diverse cultural context with Indigenous, African and European roots and origins, this course will explore the historic borderlands as well as their impact today. Bridging place names, architecture, foods and cultures, the borderlands offers us a framework to understand where we are and how we got here. We will look closely at Santa Fe, Seattle, NYC, and El Paso, TX as borderlands cities.
