TELOS - Singer/Songwriters of the 1960s    NEW!

Popular music underwent a sea change in the 1960s, due to the emergence of artists like The Beatles and Bob Dylan. Now it was common for musical artists to both write and perform their own material. This course will look at some of the most important and innovative singer/songwriters of the 1960s, with a particular emphasis on female artists. We will examine the works and careers of such notable artists as Joni Mitchell, Laura Nyro, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Cat Stevens and many others. Rare and exclusive video and audio clips will make this a worthwhile trip. There is definitely something happening here, but what it is will become quite clear.
