Students discover how to build games and solve real-world problems with App Inventor, a visual drag and drop programming language developed by Google. Through creating mobile apps like Finger Paint and Whack-A-Mole, students explore fundamental computer science concepts such as conditional statements, modeling with mathematical equations, and event handling. And in exploring the process of developing an original app, they learn about effective user interface and design principles.
Discover how to build game-style apps with drag and drop programming. You’ll design the layout, program the player interface, add images and sounds, and much more! As a final project, you’ll build an app in your own style with as much detail and content as you like.
