American History 1500-1600s

The great sweep of American history begins with a step, the step of the nomads who walked onto the continent. This course will explore five distinct Native American cultures of the 1500's, a successful response to five distinct environments. A variety of early meetings between the Native Americans and Europeans will also be examined.
