Geology of National Parks

This course will examine the geologic history of parks in the Western United States, from the Grand Canyon to Glacier National Park. Students will take a deep dive into the natural landscapes preserved in these parks; explore the natural history of seven national parks; and appreciate the aesthetic qualities of the parks and why they were preserved. Let's explore super volcanoes, epic thrust faults, landscapes of ice-polished granite and massive canyons!
