One hundred years ago astronomers first discovered the shape and size of our home galaxy, the Milky Way. A few years later, it was discovered that our galaxy is one of trillions in an expanding universe. This course will explore the foundations of astronomy along with recent discoveries as humanity continues to learn how to understand its place in this awesome universe.
