Basic Costume Design   

Learn the basics of costume design using commercial patterns as the basis for your creations. This course covers how to take accurate measurements, safely cut fabric, and make basic alterations. Students may choose to create their own holiday costumes or just learn how to alter ready-made clothing so that it fits. Beginner and novice costume makers will benefit from learning how to read garment pattern instructions, as well as choosing the right materials for their creations.
