US History 1900-1929: The Moderns   

Students will delve into the fascinating events of the first quarter of the 20th century; the Progressive Era and WWI, with memorable presidents, all of the muscle flexing imperialism, waves of immigrants, new attitudes and experimentation that brought several new amendments and astounding court cases. Students get to explore cultural phenomena from the jazz of the speakeasy to the literature of the Lost Generation noting new philosophies and what these signified about the unfolding modern consciousness.
