Agile Foundations: Scrum Product Owner   

This course teaches the core principles of Agile methodology to master the role of a Scrum Product Owner. The student will learn to lead product development effectively and deliver product value by defining product backlogs to prioritize features, collaborating with stakeholders, and planning iteratively.

Competencies:

  • Explain the role and responsibilities of a Scrum Product Owner.
  • Recognize and organize items in the product backlog.
  • Develop skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Propose product features based on value and business needs.
  • Produce iterative planning processes.
  • key metrics for measuring product success.
  • Develop strategies for identifying and mitigating risks in product development.
 
This course teaches the Agile Foundations for Product Owners by diving deep into the Scrum framework's core principles and practices to create a compelling product vision that aligns with organizational goals and customer needs. The aspiring Scrum product owner will learn to define and prioritize product backlogs, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver value iteratively. Additionally, students will acquire skills needed to lead cross-functional teams, make strategic product decisions, and drive innovation.
 

Prerequisites:

  • Basic understanding of project management concepts is beneficial.
  • Prior exposure to Scrum is helpful, but not mandatory.
  • Recommended to be taken in conjunction with the Agile Foundations Scrum Master course.
