Intro to Computer Networking - CompTIA Network+   

This course provides the knowledge of essential networking tools & concepts.

Competencies:

  • Explain computer networking concepts, technologies, standards, and best practices
  • Design and assess computer network technologies and operations
  • Complete computer network implemenations
  • Organize, modify, and assess computer network security
  • Complete computer network troubleshooting
 
This course provides students with the knowledge and skills required to prepare for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam. Students will learn the fundamentals of networking technologies including network architecture, operations, security, troubleshooting, industry standards and best practices. Topics covered include network devices, network media, TCP/IP and other protocols, routing, WAN technologies, wireless networking, network security techniques, disaster recovery, and remote access methods.
 

Prerequisites:

  • Basic computer and internet skills.
