This course will cover 3000 years of Chinese history beginning with the earliest bronze age, ancestor worshiping dynasties and onward from the Han to the Mongolians. Student will review the early philosophies of Confucius, Daoism and the Buddhists that defined culture, right down to the civil service exams. This course will also explore the Silk Road and dip into the glorious culture of art and poetry, from the terra cotta warriors to the exquisite landscapes painted on silk
