MS Project for Project Managers   

Gain hands-on experience using Microsoft Project application software in the key roles of project management planning, control and execution..

Competencies:
  • Create and set up Microsoft Project: project titles, start dates, calendars, working times and scheduling mode
  • Enter and link tasks, including time constraints and deadlines
  • Create schedules, including formatting Gantt Charts
  • Define resources and assign to tasks, leveling as necessary
  • Baseline scheduled, track project progress and generate reports
  • Customize Microsoft Project, including fields, views, ribbons, filters, reports and templates
  • Create resource pools and consolidated project schedules

Gain hands-on experience using Microsoft Project application software in the key roles of planning, control and execution. Course topics include setting up projects; entering tasks and resources; linking tasks; setting up and assigning resources; linking tasks setting up and assigning resources; saving a baseline; addressing constraints and deadlines; changing task types; sorting, grouping and filtering; and reporting status.

Prerequisites:
  • Completion of Principles of Project Management
  • Completion of Project Planning and Scheduling
  • Ability to work in an Windows 10 environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office applications is recommended
