MS Project for Project Managers
Gain hands-on experience using Microsoft Project application software in the key roles of project management planning, control and execution..
Competencies:
Create and set up Microsoft Project: project titles, start dates, calendars, working times and scheduling mode
Enter and link tasks, including time constraints and deadlines
Create schedules, including formatting Gantt Charts
Define resources and assign to tasks, leveling as necessary
Baseline scheduled, track project progress and generate reports
Customize Microsoft Project, including fields, views, ribbons, filters, reports and templates
Create resource pools and consolidated project schedules
Gain hands-on experience using Microsoft Project application software in the key roles of planning, control and execution. Course topics include setting up projects; entering tasks and resources; linking tasks; setting up and assigning resources; linking tasks setting up and assigning resources; saving a baseline; addressing constraints and deadlines; changing task types; sorting, grouping and filtering; and reporting status.
Prerequisites:
Completion of Principles of Project Management
Completion of Project Planning and Scheduling
Ability to work in an Windows 10 environment
Familiarity with Microsoft office applications is recommended
