Career in IT Cyber Security  

Borough of Manhattan Community College’s Center of Adult Continuing Education is launching a new sponsored IT Cyber Security Pathway Training certificate program which will provide eligible participants with Cyber Security training at no-cost.

This training program has been sponsored in partnership with the Guardian Life Insurance Foundation and BMCC. The new IT Cyber Security Pathway training certificate carries with it industry recognized certification as well as BMCC college credit towards a CIS degree at BMCC. Eligible participants are encouraged to apply and may be BMCC alumni, recent college graduates, unemployed, under-employed and incumbent workers within the NYC community who are interested in careers within the growing IT sector.

If you are seeking to improve your current skills in technology or enter into the technology field, the IT Cyber Security Pathway Training certificate program training can help prepare you to meet the demands of the technology labor market and assist you in transitioning into BMCC’s academic courses where you can receive up to nine (9) credits towards a BMCC CIS Associates degree program. This program provides participants with in-demand skills training which includes CompTia, Linux+, Security+, & Network+ content.

Upon successful completion, students will have gained essential skills and earned certifications which will assist them in entering the job market as a Cyber Security Specialist.

The training is scheduled to begin on September 9th , 2019

Please be aware that our future course dates may be delivered in either a traditional classroom face-to-face format or an on-line format or a hybrid model that mixes both live and online course delivery. The determination of how our future courses will be delivered is still not predictable due to the fluidity of the current situation in New York. However, please rest assured that in either course delivery format our programs will maintain high quality and value for you our students.
