Cisco Networking Academy - CCNP

The Revised CCNP Certification, consists of one (1) Core Exam and numerous concentration options.  BMCC is offering ENCOR (350-401) and ENARSI (300-410) as the concentration in a combined package leading to CCNP Certification.  Read further for individual descriptions of the key concepts and technologies covered in each.

Cisco Academy – CCNP ENTERPRISE: ENCOR (Core Networking)

The ENCOR course includes implementation of core enterprise network technologies including dual stack (IPv4 and IPv6) architecture, virtualization, infrastructure, network assurance, security, and automation. This course teaches students core concepts for configuring routers and switches in the enterprise environment. These devices facilitate the connection of devices, applications, and data through the internet and across other computer networks.

Cisco Academy - CCNP ENTERPRISE: ENARSI (Enterprise: Advanced Routing and Services)

This course teaches students advanced concepts for configuring routers and services in the enterprise environment. These devices and services facilitate the connection of devices, applications, and data through the internet and across other computer networks. By the end of the course, students can perform advanced configurations for routers and services to build and configure enterprise-level local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) that use IPv4 and IPv6 advanced routing protocols, advanced features of protocols to optimize network performance, route redistribution, and advanced tunneling technologies.

Job Outlook

The occupation outlook for network and systems administrators, with Cisco engineers, is excellent; data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) suggest that occupation in this field may increase 8% from 2014 to 2024.

FAQs

What is a CCNP?

A Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) helps IT professionals build on the fundamental skills they learned during the CCNA. This certification provides further education and training on topics such as local area networks, wide area networks and remote access.

What does a Cisco Certified Network Professional role involve?

A CCNP deals with the planning, implementation, verification, and troubleshooting of Cisco-based networks. After certification, a CCNP generally specializes in a particular area such as voice, security, or wireless Cisco Systems has Authorized Cisco Networking Academies that are tasked with presenting Network Technology in a clear and concise manner.

Course Objectives

- Students will learn through lecture and practical hands-on labs how to implement Enterprise Networks and the Supporting Services and Protocols.

- To develop competencies in the field of networking.

- In-depth understanding of advanced routing, switching, and troubleshooting.

- Skills to monitor, and maintain secure networks

- Knowledge to plan, execute, and troubleshoot enterprise networks

- By the end of the course, students can perform advanced configurations for routers and switches to build and configure enterprise-level local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) that integrate IP addressing schemes, routing, and switching protocols, network assurance, and network security.

- By the end of the course, students can perform advanced configurations for routers and services to build and configure enterprise-level local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) that use IPv4 and IPv6 advanced routing protocols, advanced features of protocols to optimize network performance, route redistribution, and advanced tunneling technologies.
