Java Programming   

This course seeks to give students an introduction to basic programming in Java. Topics covered will include, types, operators, expressions, control flow using conditionals and loops, functions, and the basics of object-oriented programming.

 

Job Outlook

Employment of computer programmers is projected to decline 10 percent from 2020 to 2030.

Despite declining employment, about 9,700 openings for computer programmers are projected each year, on average, over the decade.

Course Objectives

  • To be able to formulate a problem and determine if a computer can solve such a problem.
  • To be able to read and understand basic Java code.
  • To be able to solve a large scope of computational problems.
