Web Development Bootcamp   

This course is specifically designed to introduce students to the latest concepts of front-end web development. Starting with the initial stages of information gathering, this training covers the entire development process from the planning and design phase all the way to testing and launch. Upon completion of our Web Development Bootcamp, students will have acquired the necessary skillset to build a complete and effective web page.

Job Outlook

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 12.8 percent employment growth for web developers between 2020 and 2030. In that period, an estimated 25,500 jobs should open up.

Web developers create and maintain websites and web applications, and they use web-facing technology to build software.

 

What Education Do I Need to Become a Web Developer?

The educational requirements to become a Web Developer aren’t very stringent; you can easily get a job in web development without a university degree as long as you have the skills necessary to do the job. You can acquire these skills either by completing a boot camp or certificate program, taking individual web development classes, or learning through self-study.

 

Course Objectives

  1. Define terminology associated with web page development
  2. Identify the purpose and gear web pages for the intended audience
  3. Discuss the basics of Java and JavaScript dynamic web-page integration
  4. Identify qualities of a well-designed web page
  5. Discuss safety and copyright implications with publishing a web page
  6. Draft a layout design for a personal web page
  7. Construct a personal web page with image content
  8. Complete web page capstone project for the course 

 

Prerequisites

Basic computer skills with using a mouse and keyboard. Basic knowledge of internet research techniques used to find web page content.
