FAQs

What is a Solutions Architect?

According to the global technology consortium, The Open Group, Solution Architecture is the practice of designing, describing, and managing the solution engineering in relation to specific business problems. The function of a Solutions Architect may look different depending on what role they fill at their organization. Depending on their employer’s needs, Architects may be client facing and be expected to assist with business development, product marketing and sales engineering. However, in the cloud, Solutions Architects are expected to draw upon a broad base of business and technical knowledge to design solutions in Public, Private and Hybrid cloud infrastructure. Their workday may start with a meeting to assess the needs of their team, and by that afternoon, they’re in the cloud architecting the very solution that was crafted that morning.
