This course is designed to certify graduates as a New York State Dispensary Associate. The certification is in compliance with NYS Marijuana Regulations & Taxation (MRTA), and Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) standards and regulations. Graduates will learn Cannabis Dispensaries Best Practices in addition to Responsible Vendor Training. You will also acquire 21st Century Soft-Skills micro-credentials, and job readiness training. The 25-Hour virtual class will be followed by a 20-Hour workforce development component, which focuses on Job Readiness Skills for employment in the industry

 

Students will also learn about:

·   Product Development

·   Product Safety

·   Product Storage

·   Pest Control

·   P.O.S. System Management

 

Gradates will also be able to:

Define compliance and operational excellence

Identify the various cannabis products and delivery methods available to the customer

Optimize health and safety procedures

 

Prerequisites

·   Must be 18 years or older.

·   Be eligible to work in NYS

·   Minimum High School Equivalency diploma
