This course provides an overview of modern diplomacy with an emphasis on current practices and future directions. It also addresses those challenges and opportunities through a colloquium of both participants and subject matter experts. All participants will gain a more thorough understanding of current practices, future directions, and practical directions for ensuring success in the diplomatic enterprise.

Course Objectives

Curriculum
This course will meet once weekly for 1.5 hours per session over 6 weeks, will cover diplomatic institutions, public diplomacy, digital diplomacy, the disruptive impacts of technology on geopolitics, and an active-learning simulation.
