CUNY Borough of Manhattan Community College’s Center for Continuing Education and Workforce Development was awarded a grant by NY Community Trust Fund to provide 80% career pathway scholarships for low-income NYC residents. NY Community Trust Fund Scholarship program offers 2 computer training programs in CompTIA A+ and Computer Network Support Certificate program, for qualified participants. A holistic team will provide case management, academic advisement and career readiness leading to job opportunities. Eligible students can earn up to 4 college credits towards the CIS degree track program at BMCC.
Training Highlights:
Instructor led, course is for anyone who wants to learn the basics and work in the field of IT.
Two training tracks:
-CompTIA A+ or
-Computer Network Support Certificate with CompTIA A+/ CISCO CCNA
Industry Certifications: CompTIA A+ and CISCO CCNA (vouchers provided)
Eligibility requirement for scholarships:
Be over 18 years old
Demonstrate financial need
Income less than $35K
Live in the tri-state area
Be legally authorized to work in the United States of America
Must be accepted into the continuing education training program;
Must pass the screening process to be eligible for Limited HUBB Scholarships.
Must accept the conditions of participation into the Case Management, Academic Advisement and Career Readiness Module
