Introduction to Supply Chain Management   

Supply Chains are vital to the prosperity of the World Economy. Supply Chain Management involves these activities: Purchasing, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Demand Planning, Warehousing, Transportation, and Customer Service. In summary, every activity included in the transformation of natural resources, raw materials and components into a finished product for a consumer. This course will provide a general overview of this process through lectures, reading assignments, case studies, and guest speakers who are industry leaders in procurement, logistics, and inventory technology. Hands on experience will be available through special projects, internships and mentors with our industry partners: ASCM and ISM.
