FAQs for Teaching with Senior College

Frequently Asked Questions

How much course material do I have to create before proposing a course? You do NOT need to plan your entire course by the proposal deadline – you DO need to plan enough so that your title and description accurately reflect the program content when you offer the course.

Can I teach more than 1 course? If you are new to Senior College, no. If you are a returning instructor, it may be a possibility.

Should I teach in-person or online?  When considering whether to offer your program remotely or in-person, choose the modality with which you are most comfortable. If you offer a course on Zoom, please be comfortable using Zoom.

I am a returning instructor. Can I repeat the same course? For instructors who teach with us a second (or third, fourth, fifth, etc.) semester, we ask that your course content is different from that of your first. We are open, however, to variations on a theme. We suggest that you ask your previous students what they might be interested in learning about next!
