Sensational Stir-Fry

Stir fry is the most commonly used cooking method in China. Traditionally, metal woks were used for stir frying. In modern China, more and more people enjoy stir frying with non-stick skillets. This class will teach students how to make authentic Chinese stir fry with the tools readily available in regular western kitchens. In this session, we will cover stir-frying techniques, properly preparing the ingredients, as well as knife and paring skills. We'll learn recipes such as Chinese Celery and Smoked Tofu Stir-Fry, Tea-Flavored Shrimp Stir-Fry, and Noodle Stir-Fry. You'll go away ready to impress your family and friends with authentic Chinese stir-fry dishes. A $20 food fee is included in the course fee.
