American Sign Language

As many as 500,000 people in the U.S. communicate using American Sign Language. It is a vital tool for those who deal with Deaf, hard of hearing, or late-deafened individuals. Instruction and practice will be given in expressive and receptive hand signs and basic sign vocabulary. You will also be introduced to current issues in U.S. and world Deaf culture.
