Giraffes and other Savannah Animals at the Franklin Park Zoo

The great grasslands of Africa are home to a fascinating spectrum of animals from giraffes to hyenas, and where the lion is king. At Franklin Park Zoo's African Savannah you'll visit with giraffes, hyenas, wildebeest, ostriches and more. You'll learn about the individual attributes of these diverse animals, and what their life is like in the wild. We'll discuss how African animals act in the wild, focusing on the importance of communication and teamwork. We'll go behind the scenes for an in-depth look, and you'll learn how the zoo cares for these beautiful creatures. We will also get the opportunity for personal face-to-face introductions with some of these amazing animals. For students ages 16 and older. Discounts or waivers do not apply.
