A Vermont Country Sampler

Nothing says "New England" more than a weekend drive through the Green Mountain State. Join us on a relaxing road trip to Vermont. Our first stop will be the picturesque Quechee Gorge, also known as "Vermont's Little Grand Canyon." After a brief stop at the gorge we will visit the Sugarbush Cheese & Maple Farm where you will have a private tour of a working maple syrup farm. You will also learn about, and sample, the varieties of maple syrups and cheeses that are produced here. We then make a short trip to the village of Woodstock, Vt., called "one of the ten most beautiful town villages in America." There, we will have lunch on our own at one of the many restaurants, cafes, and farm-to-table eateries. You'll also have an opportunity to shop at the many quaint shops in the town, including F. Gillingham & Sons (one of the oldest country stores in Vermont) and the Vermont Flannel Company. From Woodstock, we travel the back roads of Vermont on our way to the President Calvin Coolidge Historic Site, where you will visit the home and burial site of our 30th President, and learn about the most unique inauguration in our country's history. Our day concludes at the timeless Vermont Country Store, Vermont's quintessential keeper of childhood memories and locally-made products. Discounts or waivers do not apply.
