Printmaking Without a Press
This course is for students who are interested in learning how to make prints but do not have access to a printmaking studio. This approach to block printing allows students to broaden their practice and remove their dependency on a studio space. This kind of adaptability will help students to be flexible in the spaces they create work. Students will learn how to identify printmaking materials at home or use materials that can be translated to creative work at home. Class discussions will focus on how the process reinterprets original images and whether it changes the idea behind the image. The process will allow students to experiment with their existing drawings, photographs, or designs. A supply list will be emailed upon registration.
