Urban Tree Identification    NEW!

Who goes there? Is that a maple, oak, black locust, or birch? If you would like to learn more about the trees found at the Boston Nature Center, and perhaps the ones that inhabit your yards and parks, join us for a stroll through our property. We will take a closer look at the forest around us and focus on basic tree identification, using buds, bark, and needles. We will also discuss how climate change is impacting and changing the forest compositions in Massachusetts. We will be outdoors, rain or shine. The walk will be less than one mile over easy terrain. Masks are required and participants will maintain social distance and adhere to all Covid precautions.
