Yoga for Your Back and Neck   

Yoga for Your Back & Neck is a healing yoga based on a book by Dr. Loren Fishman. In this class, we will focus on both strengthening and stretching the muscles of the deep core. When overused, muscles that are responsible for supporting the trunk, can seize or go into spasm. We will use various yoga stretch poses to prevent those muscles from over-contracting by specifically targeting them. In addition, we will learn to strengthen the muscles of the hips and upper back to improve spinal integrity and posture while also focusing on proper alignment for frequently misunderstood postures, such as forward folds and back bends. Open to all levels. Please bring a yoga mat, two blocks and a yoga strap.
